Literature Text

There's this legacy
Lost in a memory
Of two lovers
Afflicted within

One love turned to hate
Passion's bitter aftertaste
A callous shell became her
As she shut down and away

All that's lush has gone now
And the winter has settled in
The frost is bitter and hollow
I wait frozen for redemption

She's so pretty, but beauty always leaves
I felt her warmth but no one believes
She's so pretty, but beauty always leaves
I want her warmth but she'll never see

The fragile dirt is interrupted
That legacy has been through hail
The trail's been corrupted
The path is worn thin and pale

With a dream I begin to see
Through this memory
With a shot that rings so loud
My redemption begins...
Another taste of what's to come on the album. This one got extremely personal for me. The last stanza actually wasn't a metaphor unlike the rest of the lyric, it was literally a statement about something. Think about that.

Enjoy.
